Account-Based Campaigns

Focused, coordinated outreach to the short list of accounts you most want to win.

Treat your best 50 accounts as 50 separate opportunities.

For a lot of B2B companies, a small number of accounts hold most of the upside. Account-based campaigns treat each of those accounts as its own opportunity: research on what's happening inside the company, a map of who matters and how you're connected, and outreach coordinated across people and channels.

What is an account-based campaign?

An account-based campaign targets a defined list of named companies. Each account gets its own research, its own map of the buying committee and its own outreach plan, run across LinkedIn, email, content and, where it makes sense, events.

The goal is to start real conversations with the right people at the right accounts, at a moment when they have a reason to talk.

Why account-based campaigns work

Three things decide whether a target account turns into a conversation:

01

A short list gets real attention.

A small, qualified list lets you spend time where it counts. Chasing a thousand logos spreads the effort too thin.

02

Timing matters as much as fit.

A great-fit account with nothing changing inside it rarely buys. New leadership, funding, hiring or a new initiative is what opens the door.

03

Decisions involve several people.

One contact at an account is rarely enough. Coordinated outreach to the right few people builds momentum inside the company.

What we research on every account

Before anyone gets a message, we build a short profile of the account.

Fit

Size, business model, market and the signals that say they could buy from you.

Triggers

Leadership changes, funding, hiring, new initiatives and other reasons to act now.

Buying committee

Who makes the decision, who influences it and who signs.

Warm paths

Your team's LinkedIn connections, past conversations, shared customers and possible introductions.

Touch history

What you've already sent them, so a LinkedIn connection is never mistaken for a real relationship.

Angle

The specific reason this account should care about talking to you right now.

How RevBoss runs account-based campaigns

Qualify the list, map the people, coordinate the outreach and prep your team. (The research and campaign operations live on our side.)

Build the Target List

We start from your ICP and qualify accounts in two passes: a quick fit check to cut the obvious misses, then evidence of a real reason to buy. Accounts that aren't ready get parked with a date to check back.

Map the People and Paths

For each account, we identify the decision makers and look for warm ways in through your team's connections, past conversations, customers and partners.

Coordinate the Outreach

LinkedIn, email, strategic content and invitations, sequenced across the right people at each account. Each touch builds on the last.

Brief Your Team

Before a meeting, you get a short prep card: what's happening at the account, who you're talking to and the angle to lead with.

Who this is a good fit for

Account-based campaigns work best when each new customer is worth real effort to win.

  • B2B companies selling larger deals into a definable set of target accounts
  • Sales teams with a named-account list or a clear, specific ICP
  • Founders and executives whose networks reach into target accounts
  • Companies where a single new logo meaningfully moves the business

Frequently asked questions

What to expect from an account-based campaign.

How many accounts should we target?

It depends on your deal size and your team's capacity. Programs usually start with a focused list of a few dozen accounts and expand once the motion is working.

How is this different from outbound email?

Outbound email reaches audiences who already have context with you. Account-based campaigns start from the account list and build context where it's missing, across several channels and several people at once. The two often run together.

Where does the account list come from?

Your CRM, your ICP, your sales team's wish list, or all three. We qualify every account before any outreach starts.

What if we don't have a warm path into an account?

We look harder first: second-degree connections, former colleagues, shared investors and customers. When there's still no path, we lead with something useful, like a relevant report or an invitation, so the first touch is an easy yes.

Who does the outreach come from?

Usually the founder, executives or salespeople who own the relationship. We write in their voice, and they approve the messaging before anything goes out.

How do you measure it?

Meetings with target accounts, engagement across each buying committee, and pipeline created from the list. We report account by account.
